TOURMALINE
Tourmaline is most often found as black or very dark green crystals, usually too small to cut. However it occurs in a range of colours, sometimes in the same stone, known as bicolour (two colours) or watermelon tourmaline, where the core of the crystal is pink/red with green on the outside. Shades of pinks and reds (rubellite) green (Verdelite) and blue (Indicolite) can be found, and if the stones are relatively flawless, they can make quite unusual and attractive, valuable gemstones

Byezantium has a good range of tourmaline at the moment, mostly set in silver, but with some gold designs available in tourmaline also. When ordering gold pieces, please specify if you prefer pinks or greens (blue is much rarer) or a mixture of shades.
